Chemical surface treatment used to help stainless steel form and maintain a clean passive layer after machining or fabrication.

Process selection should be confirmed by material, geometry, tolerance, surface finish, quantity, application environment and inspection requirement.

Tolerance Passivation normally has minimal dimensional impact, but cleaning and inspection requirements should be confirmed.
